High School
Freshman - Senior Year
As someone with dreams of pursuing a higher education, I enjoy pushing myself with the rigorous classes. These courses not only enhance my academic skill set but teach me valuable study and time management skills. Going into high school, I chose a school that I believed would support my learning and my extracurriculars. Unfortunately, Covid-19 hit and learning while in quarantine was by no means easy for me. However, it did afford me flexibility and I often took classes and did homework in the car during the 1.5 hour drive to and from Petaluma as I trained for reining competitions. Distance learning taught me a lot about accountability and focus. However, what I am most proud of is that despite knowing I would be riding collegiately I chose not to sacrifice my academics for showing, and kept pushing myself both in the classroom and the show ring.
